Text Box: Cystotomy on a 12 year old golden retriever which harvested more than 1000 bladder stones ranging in size from 3 cm to less than 1 mm.

This is the inflamed uterus from a 9 year old unspayed pitt-bull female who developed pyometra after a heat cycle. The owner mistakenly believed the pet had a urinary tract infection because of the bloody discharge.  Upon examination, and after subsequent radiographs, it was determined this pet required emergency surgery for the pyometra. The uterus weighed more than 5 pounds once removed. The pet recovered beautifully and is back to full health.
